POST-CONSTRUCTION FINAL CLEANING SERVICES
At SLP, we also provide post-construction cleaning services designed to prepare newly built or renovated properties for occupancy.
Please note that our final cleaning services are offered as a separate scope from our painting services. They can be scheduled independently or bundled together as part of a comprehensive service package. Each can be customized to meet the specific needs of your project, providing flexibility and convenience at every stage. Typically, the process is structured into three distinct phases, ensuring a thorough and professional clean at every stage of the construction timeline.
Phase 1: Rough Clean
The rough clean is the initial cleaning phase, scheduled after the installation of flooring, electrical, plumbing (with water in units), and mechanical trim-out. During this stage, Straight Line Painting will clean all windows, frames, sills, doors, and thresholds. Kitchen countertops will be wiped down, and bathroom areas will be cleaned, including toilets, bathtubs, showers, and enclosures. Any protective paper and tape on tile flooring will be removed, followed by scrubbing and washing of all tile surfaces. A general broom cleaning will be performed, with all trash and construction debris removed and placed in designated contractor-provided waste receptacles.
Phase 2: Final Clean
The final clean is the most important stage of the cleaning process, performed as scheduled by the contractor once the unit is nearing completion. This phase ensures the space is fully detailed and presentable. Windows and frames will be thoroughly cleaned using a mild detergent and professional tools prior to the installation of screens, which will be reinstalled by the contractor. Interior and exterior doors will also be cleaned. In kitchens, bathrooms, and living areas, all surfaces will be polished and wiped, including stainless steel sinks, cabinets (inside and out), countertops, appliance exteriors, and light fixtures. Bathrooms will receive detailed attention, with cleaning of mirrors, enclosures, tubs, toilets, sinks, and accessories. All living areas will be vacuumed, dusted, swept, or mopped as appropriate, with vinyl flooring cleaned using a mild detergent. Fixtures, switches, fans, and receptacles will also be cleaned. Additionally, A/C supply and return grills, as well as A/C closets, will be cleaned. All protective coverings, stickers, and labels will be removed during this phase to reveal a fully refreshed and clean space.
Phase 3: Fluff and Buff
This final stage is designed to prepare the unit for move-in or presentation. It is performed by Straight Line Painting immediately after the contractor’s or owner’s final punch-out walk. During the fluff and buff, all areas will be lightly touched up to ensure a polished, “ready-to-show” appearance. This includes sweeping and mopping floors, dusting and cleaning all countertops, cabinets, appliances, and fixtures. All surfaces, including mirrors, sills, sinks, shower doors, tubs, and enclosures, will be cleaned and polished. Carpeted areas will be vacuumed to complete the finishing touches.
Our goal is to deliver a move-in-ready space that reflects the quality of your build and meets the high standards of owners, tenants, or buyers.
